N. D. Wilson is the author of Leepike Ridge, a children’s adventure story, the 100 Cupboards fantasy series, and Notes from the Tilt-a-Whirl. He enjoys high winds, milk, and night-time. He received his Master’s degree from Saint John’s College in Annapolis, Maryland, is the senior editor of Credenda/Agenda magazine, and is also a Fellow of Literature at New Saint Andrews College. His writing has appeared in Books & Culture, The Chattahoochee Review, and Esquire. He and his wife, Heather, have five children.
Matt Crutchmer serves as Instructor of Christian Theology at Bethlehem College & Seminary. After working for five years in the financial industry in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Matt and his family moved to Minneapolis in 2005 to prepare for cross-cultural ministry in Finland. While that long-term plan was altered, God still used those years to prepare him for his teaching role: Matt earned two Master degrees and taught intensive courses in Finland and UAE. Matt’s research interests include the doctrines of God and the church, theological understandings of reading, writing, and human creativity, and modern theology. Matt and his wife, Arianne, have three boys and live in Minneapolis, MN.
The following discussion was recorded during the seminar, God’s Imagination & Ours: The Creator, Creation, and Creativity held at Bethlehem College & Seminary. Panelists include N. D. Wilson, Matt Crutchmer, and Tony Reinke; moderated by Zach Howard.
This course explores the often-perceived tension between enjoying God’s creation and enjoying God himself, with the aim of helping students find joy in God in a world full of wonderful things.
