My guest today is Don Carson, a research professor of New Testament at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and president of The Gospel Coalition. We talk about the assurance of salvation.

Was I sincere when I made a profession of faith?

Have I really trusted Christ for my salvation?

Does ongoing failure to resist temptation mean I’m not truly saved?

These are the sort of questions that haunt Christians who lack assurance of salvation. Listen as we seek to answer them. Thanks to Betsy Childs Howard for her help in preparing the interview.

Is there enough evidence for us to believe the Gospels?

In an age of faith deconstruction and skepticism about the Bible’s authority, it’s common to hear claims that the Gospels are unreliable propaganda. And if the Gospels are shown to be historically unreliable, the whole foundation of Christianity begins to crumble.
But the Gospels are historically reliable. And the evidence for this is vast.
