Not many of us will spend 59 weeks teaching through the book of Exodus, but from August 2015 through June 2017, that’s what Kevin DeYoung did, making him the perfect person to talk about how to teach the book of Exodus. I interviewed DeYoung immediately after he was named the new pastor of Christ Covenant Church in Matthews, North Carolina, as well as an assistant professor of systematic theology at Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte. This meant DeYoung’s final sermon on Exodus was also his final sermon as pastor of University Reformed Church in Lansing, Michigan.

In this two-part conversation, DeYoung offers insights into how to deal with challenges like the hardening of Pharaoh’s heart, as well as opportunities like the theophanies, the tabernacle, and the golden calf.

Where do busy parents look for resources on discipling their family well? Aside from prioritizing church, what else can Christian parents do to instill healthy spiritual habits in their household?

Matt Chandler and Adam Griffin cover these questions and more in Family Discipleship: Leading Your Home through Time, Moments, and Milestones. And we’re excited to offer this book to you for FREE as an eBook today.
