A crucible is a vessel heated to extreme temperatures to boil out impurities. It can also mean a severe test. The word comes from the Latin crux, a cross, and is linked to the great symbol of both suffering and hope, the cross of Christ. How does Christ’s suffering inform your own? How does the cross of Christ give perspective and hope as you carry your own heavy, grievous weights in this life? In this session, you’ll hear how you can be conformed to Christ through suffering as well as empowered through Christ’s suffering to persevere in your own.
