Risen, Reigning, and Returning… Indeed!

He is not here, for he has risen, just as he said he would!” (Matt.28:6)
Most glorious and loving, Lord Jesus, we’ve never been more grateful to declare, “The Lord is risen; he is risen indeed!” Our worst fears are crushed, our greatest needs are met, and our deepest hope is guaranteed. Your tomb is empty, your throne is occupied, and our hearts are full. Hallelujah!
No longer enslaved to sin and guilt, we are robed in your righteousness and rescued from our shame. We live in Abba’s constant favor and great delight as you transform and shepherd us Homeward.  Oh, the wonder of it all… Jesus, you are the firstfruits and fulfillment of every promise God has made.
The long-prophesied “new creation” world of salvation, healing, and restoration has broken into history and will come in fullness. Living hope not failed dreams defines our future. Peace not panic is our daily bread. Worship—not worry, is the air we breathe. “In Christ”—not “stressed out,” is our current and permanent address.
Now risen, You reign as King of kings and Lord of lords—sovereign over the things that burden, anger, confuse, and hurt us. You have defeated the devil and evil and will eradicate them at your return. Indeed, the Day of no more death and dying, cancer and crisis, knowing in part and loving in part is barreling towards us at the speed of grace. The tears we’ve wept and caused will be wiped, and their pain will be redeemed. Hallelujah!
Thank you Jesus… for we are forgiven, beloved, and yours. By your compelling love and measureless grace, free us for spending the rest of our days living and loving to your glory. So Very Amen!
