The Pastor will serve as a shepherd, teacher, and leader within the church body, faithfully preaching God’s Word, equipping the saints for ministry, and walking alongside the elders in spiritual oversight of the congregation.
Qualifications
A clear and growing relationship with Jesus Christ, marked by humility, prayer, and personal holiness
Strong commitment to the authority of Scripture and the gospel of Jesus Christ
A true shepherd’s heart—loving, guiding, and caring for the flock (1 Peter 5:1–4)
Agreement with and support of elder-led church governance
Experience in pastoral ministry preferred; seminary or Bible college training a plus
Responsibilities
Preach and teach the Word of God faithfully and consistently
Lead with the elders in shepherding the congregation and discerning God’s direction for the church
Provide pastoral care, discipleship, and counseling as needed
Equip and encourage the body to live out the Great Commission
Model servant leadership in word and deed
