This workshop will acquaint attendees with Bryan Chapell’s FCF (Fallen Condition Focus) and the facilitator’s FCF (Future Condition Focus). Participants will be challenged to see the text from the perspective of sub specie aeternatatis (in the light of eternity) and use that concept in relation to preaching the biblical text. Preaching the eschaton holds in tension both the fallenness of humanity and the created world and the redemption of humanity and our groaning creation. The purpose of the workshop is to encourage preachers to present the gospel with the intention of providing biblical hope to those who live in this fallen world.
