Cohort Description
If you serve in women’s ministry, you give of yourself day in and day out. While serving in this way can be rewarding, you may feel isolated and unequipped. That’s why we’re inviting you to join us for 6 weeks for our Women’s Ministry Leadership Cohort. This virtual cohort exists to encourage, equip, and connect women who serve and lead in women’s ministry through training, resourcing, and fostering a community of support. We’ll cover a variety of topics to help you both personally and practically, including The How’s and Why’s of Women’s Ministry, Privilege and Pitfalls of Working on a Church Staff, Caring for Your Own Heart as You Minister to Others, and more.

What does it look like to build a women’s ministry that is both biblically grounded and practically effective? Melissa Kruger shares principles for structuring a healthy ministry, creating pathways for discipleship and leadership development, and equipping women to faithfully minister to one another.
Session 2
Privilege and Pitfalls of Working on a Church Staff with Jen Wilkin
As women serving in the church, we want to embrace the joys and navigate the challenges of serving alongside male leadership. Jen Wilkin offers practical insight on how women can serve wisely, support their church’s leadership, and pursue healthy ministry relationships.

Discipleship Through One-on-One Bible Study with Felicity Carswell
Discipleship doesn’t just happen in a formal church setting, but in everyday life. Felicity Carswell shares practical guidance on discipling others through reading the Bible one-on-one as we seek to grow in Christ together.
Session 4
Caring for Women In Your Church Physically, Emotionally, and Spiritually with Rebekah Hannah
How can we care well for women in the midst of real suffering and need? Rebekah Hannah explores why care is central to the church’s calling and offers practical tools for coming alongside others with compassion, wisdom, and healthy limits.
Session 5
Training a Teaching Team and Choosing Bible Studies with Courtney Doctor
The Word of God is a vital element of a healthy women’s ministry. Courtney Doctor offers practical wisdom for equipping a teaching team and selecting Bible studies that help women engage deeply with Scripture.
Session 6
Caring for Your Own Heart as You Minister to Others with Vanessa Hawkins
Ministry leaders spend much of their time caring for others, but serving faithfully means we also need to care for our own hearts. In this session, Vanessa Hawkins shares a helpful process for examining your spiritual and emotional health in light of the gospel.

Jen Wilkin is an author and Bible teacher from Dallas, Texas. She has organized and led studies for women in home, church, and parachurch contexts. An advocate for Bible literacy, her passion is to see others become articulate and committed followers of Christ, with a clear understanding of why they believe what they believe, grounded in the Word of God. Vanessa K. Hawkins (MDiv, DMin) is the director of community life at Redeemer Lincoln Square in New York City. She is a Bible teacher, a conference speaker, and author of the forthcoming Justice and the Heart of God, a Bible study on the book of Amos. She serves as a fellow for The Keller Center for Cultural Apologetics. Vanessa is married to Marcus, and they have three daughters. You can follow her on Instagram.
Rebekah Hannah is a biblical counselor and has a passion for teaching the sufficiency of Scripture for everyday life. She is married to Andrew and has three daughters. You can connect with her on Instagram.
Felicity Carswell is from England but currently lives near Chicago with her book-selling husband, Jonathan, along with two young sons, Rufus and Billy. She loves to teach the Bible in her local church and disciple women on a one-to-one basis. She hosts a podcast with her sister called Two Sisters and a Cup of Tea that seeks to chat through the Bible and drive it to the heart.
