Description

When God’s people come into God’s presence, we sing. Singing is a natural outpouring of our love and adoration of God. Scripture is filled with songs and implores Christians to address one another in song, both in times of grief and celebration. Scripture also portrays heaven itself filled with songs as all creatures worship God together.

Those who lead the church’s singing and organize its gathered worship are given an important and often difficult role. Worship leaders must juggle team dynamics and deeply held opinions. They must navigate musicianship, technology, cultural contexts, and more all while leading the church to authentically pour out their hearts to God in song. When their leadership is healthy, clear, and aligned with Scripture, the whole church benefits.

This cohort will equip worship leaders with the skills needed to lead and organize their church’s weekly worship. It will also provide a setting for veteran leaders to be refreshed as they sharpen their skills and understanding. Led by a group of seasoned worship leaders and pastors, this eight-week cohort is designed to foster personal well-being, organizational vitality, clarity of vision, and practical know-how for leading your church to sing joyfully together.

With your registration you’ll receive:

  • Eight weeks of instruction from experienced worship leaders
  • An additional Q&A session with pastors Mike Aitcheson and Bryan Fowler, who will think with us about how gathered worship affects our daily lives
  • Two books: Worship Matters by Bob Kauflin and Christ-Centered Worship by Bryan Chapell
  • Opportunities to ask questions on various topics
  • Connection and fellowship with other worship leaders in affinity breakout groups
  • Documents, resources, and practical wisdom for leading your church’s music ministry

Are you on a church staff or considering this cohort as a group at a church? If so, we want you to check out this brief PDF with three ideas of how to use this cohort as a group. It includes instructions for deep discounts.
