Hallelujah… It’s Hard to Believe All This Is True!

I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear out of their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making all things new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” Rev. 21:3-5

Dear Jesus, we praise, bless, and adore you. We cannot wait to hear that loud voice shout, “Look! Today is the ‘Now’ you’ve waited for so long! The Day when there will be no more tears to wipe, no more deaths to mourn, no more trauma to heal, no more pain to endure.”

When “everything sad comes untrue,” and everything broken is forever-new. All things separated will be united as a giant living-tapestry of grace. Perpetual “Hello’s” will supplant all painful “Goodbye’s.”

Jesus, you will turn our mourning into dancing, and our anger into laughter. And fears—all of them in every form, will be driven out forever by your perfect love. Knowing in part will give way to understanding in full. Loving partially will be over, for we will be made perfect in love. We will see you as you truly are, Jesus, and we will be made like you. Hallelujah!

Sackcloth and ashes will be replaced with wedding garments and perpetual feasting. There won’t be any more clenched fists only raised palms, no more blank stares only counting stars—no more funeral homes and graveyards, only  everlasting life and never-ending joy. Thank you Jesus. We ache and love towards that Day. Make it soon. So Very Amen
