“Fear not; you will no longer live in shame. Don’t be afraid; there is no more disgrace for you.” Isa. 54:4
Heavenly Father, it seems too good to be true, too lofty to be ours, too outside-the-box we call “life.” Shame is no long our prison, home, or name. No disgrace, faux-grace, semi-grace remain for us. There is just grace times forever.
We have no reason to hide or fear, pose or pretend. No cause to blame ourselves, make excuses, or do penance. The weight of our guilt is lifted. The doubts in our heart are groundless. The fullness of your favor is upon us.
Abba, when you see us today you see Jesus’ perfection—for you have hidden our lives in his, made Jesus’ righteousness ours, and sealed us with your Spirit. When you see us as we will be, you see 100% Jesus-likeness—for you will finish the good work you began in us (Phil.1:6). Hallelujah on Gospel Steroids!
Truly, your grace has done so much more than “merely” replaced our disgrace. You have raised us to newness of life—giving us a new heart, new name, new story, new family, and new citizenship. We are standing in your grace (Rom.5:2), rooted in your love (Eph.3:17-19), and enveloped in your delight (Zeph.3:17).
Though the devil accuses us, some people deride us, and our own thoughts indict us—you declare us to be your known, loved, desired, and enjoyed, children. This is all we need, and it is fully ours, 100% by your eternal generosity and measureless grace. Hallelujah, thank you, and So Very Amen
