LeRoy Independent Baptist Church (Canton, PA) Pastor
THE BIG PICTURE
LeRoy Independent Baptist church (leroyindependentbaptist.org) is seeking a full time Pastor. LIBC is in southwestern Bradford County, Pennsylvania, approximately 22 miles from the New York State border. The church building sits in the rural community of LeRoy, 8 miles east of Canton off Route 414. Note that LIBC is not a King James only church.
Job Description
Brief Description:
The pastor shall be a believer in, and a preacher of, the Gospel and the fundamental doctrines of faith as held by this church. He shall meet the qualifications of a bishop as described in I Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9. He will take the oversight of the church in spiritual things as a shepherd would his flock. His special duties are preaching the Gospel, administering the ordinances, visiting the sick and elderly, and building up the church, the body of Christ, to a position of strength and maturity.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Ministry, Bible Theology, or a related field gained through an accredited Christian college or seminary is helpful, though candidates with other combinations of training and/or experience will be considered. At least five to ten years of experience as a Pastor or Associate Pastor is preferred though other amounts of experience will be considered.

Enthusiasm about missions outreach; the ability to cast a vision for the future of the church ministry and its growth; ability to work with others and communicate with all age groups; humble; approachable; loves people; has a deep understanding of God’s Word and knows how to communicate it clearly; ability to preach and teach the scriptures in an engaging way; connected to the community; and interest in outreach to local youth and families.
Compensation:
The total compensation package is currently $55,623.00. This includes the base salary; an unfurnished 12-room parsonage on 1.5 acres located 0.4 miles from the church; housing allowance to cover electric, propane, and auto expenses; 1 scheduled day off per week; 2 weeks paid vacation (non-cumulative); office/study provided at the church; liability insurance; workers compensation insurance; conference reimbursement up to $400 per year; and mileage reimbursement at the current IRS rate.
