Job Description
The Church
Greenville Methodist Church is an independent church located in west central Georgia between Newnan and Columbus, one hour south of the Atlanta airport. We have a loving and friendly church family and enjoy fellowship with each other and our visitors (68 members with an average attendance of 35-40). Many of our church members are, or have been, educators or professionals. We are a financially stable, debt free church. Our sanctuary is 127 years old with original stained-glass windows. Our pianist and choir are amazing for such a small church, and we are occasionally incorporating some contemporary songs. We have a long history of involvement in missions (Matthew 25:35-36), both local and abroad. Our church has a food pantry twice a month and our women run a clothing and household goods ministry, along with supporting other local and international missions. We partner with Habitat for Humanity, both in labor and monetary support and are currently in construction of the 36th house in our county. Our goal is to increase our community outreach and membership most especially with young families.
