Music at Southwest Community is presented in a contemporary worship style as we desire for truth to be made accessible to the people of our present culture. We seek to respect and learn from our tradition and to incorporate aspects of our heritage into our worship of God, while carefully avoiding traditionalism and meaningless habits. We desire that all of the service elements—song, prayer, Scripture, sermon, Lord’s supper and baptism exist to highlight and point people to the gospel.
We envision a variety of presentations within a contemporary framework to help keep our worship fresh and to use the gifted persons that God has given us.
