It’s hard to choose one book that I would give to a skeptic or a non-believer regarding Christianity. But perhaps the one that was most profoundly beneficial to me when I was a young Christian was the book Knowing God by J. I. Packer. In fact, when I first read the book, I couldn’t even put it down.

I read it actually through the night. Because in it, J. I. Packer introduced me, not only to the truth of who God is and what he’s done for me in Jesus, but the beauty of who God is and what he’s done for me in Jesus because that’s exactly what Christianity is about. It’s about the truth and the beauty of the gospel, the good news of what Jesus has done for us and for our sins.

And so the one book that I would give to skeptics and non-believers would be Knowing God by J. I. Packer.
