In this work three pastors aim to provide a hopeful vision for the church. After describing their own experiences, they examine changes in recent times that have affected church life and pastoral practice. Of most interest to theological students will be their subsequent interaction with the work of post-liberal scholars such as Lindbeck and Hauerwas.
