Introduction The Christian Standard Bible (CSB), published in 2017, is a major revision and replacement of the Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB), which was first published as a full Bible in 2004 and revised in 2009.1 This paper is a brief review of the CSB, especially as it compares to its predecessor and with special attention to its use of gender-inclusive language. 1.1.
