John Piper (BA, Wheaton College; BD, Fuller Theological Seminary; ThD, University of Munich) serves as founder and lead teacher at Desiring God and is chancellor of Bethlehem College & Seminary. For 33 years, Piper served as pastor of Bethlehem Baptist Church, and he is a Council member of The Gospel Coalition. He has authored more than 50 books, and more than 30 years of his preaching and writing are available free of charge at Desiring God.

Ken Mbugua is the lead pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Nairobi, Kenya, and is the managing director at Ekklesia Afrika, a ministry that seeks to strengthen churches by providing access to theological resources. He and his wife, Arlette, have three children.

Mark Vroegop (BA, Cedarville University; MDiv, Cornerstone Seminary) is the president of The Gospel Coalition. He served in pastoral ministry leadership for nearly 30 years, most recently as the lead pastor of College Park Church in Indianapolis. An award-winning author, Mark has written several books, including Dark Clouds, Deep Mercy: Discovering the Grace of Lament and Waiting Isn’t a Waste: The Surprising Comfort of Trusting God in the Uncertainties of Life. Alistair Begg is general editor of the CSB Spurgeon Study Bible, senior pastor of Parkside Church in Cleveland, and the Bible teacher on Truth for Life, which is heard on the radio and online around the world. He graduated from theological college in London and served two churches in Scotland before moving to Ohio.
