Abortion. Gay marriage. Marijuana. State-sponsored birth control. When Christians oppose these things, we are often accused of trying to force our morals on others. But doesn’t every law in some way legislate morality? If laws need a moral standard behind them, who gets to choose which moral standard?

These are a few of the questions covered in this 10-minute discussion with Trevin Wax, Bible and reference publisher at LifeWay Christian Resources and managing editor of The Gospel ProjectCollin Hansen, editorial director for The Gospel Coalition; and Kevin DeYoung, senior pastor of University Reformed Church (PCA) in East Lansing, Michigan. The conversation was recorded in 2013 before the Supreme Court’s 2015 Obergefell decision to legalize same-sex marriage, but the questions addressed remain just as relevant today.

But the Gospels are historically reliable. And the evidence for this is vast.
