Youth Minister – Lakeside Church of Christ

 

Job Title: Christian Youth Minister

Location: Church of Christ, DFW Metroplex, TX

Job Type: Full-Time

About Us: While  the church has been an active congregation for the past 26 years, the church is a vibrant and growing church community dedicated to nurturing the spiritual growth of our youth. Lakeside Church of Christ is seeking a passionate and visionary Youth Minister to lead the youth group and help the youth grow in the faith and relationship with Christ.

Job Summary: The Youth Minister will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive youth ministry program that includes spiritual, social, and service-oriented activities. This role requires a dynamic individual who can connect with young people, inspire, and guide the youth in the youth’s faith journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Spiritual Leadership: Deliver engaging, Spirit-filled lessons that align with  doctrinal beliefs.
• Youth Programs: Plan, organize, and lead youth group meetings, Bible studies, retreats, and other events.
• Mentorship: Provide spiritual guidance and counseling to youth, helping the youth navigate personal and spiritual challenges.
• Community Building: Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment where youth feel valued and connected.
• Volunteer Coordination: Recruit, train, and oversee volunteers to assist with youth ministry activities.
• Collaboration: Work closely with church staff and leadership to integrate youth ministry with the overall mission of the church.
• Outreach: Develop and maintain relationships with parents, schools, and community organizations to support youth ministry initiatives.

Qualifications:

• A degree in Theology, Biblical Studies, Youth Ministry, or a related field.
• Proven experience in youth ministry or a similar role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to connect with and inspire young people.
• Organizational and administrative skills.
• A deep commitment to Christian faith and values.
