(Nepali) Translation Project: 50 Reasons Jesus Came to Die by John Piper

NOTE: These cases are located in Nepal and for shipment in-country only.

Historically it has been illegal for anyone in Nepal to be a Christian, except for a short time in the 18th Century. In 1951 the country opened up to outside influences, including missionaries bringing medical help. Nepalis who had come to Christ outside the country moved with the missionaries into the country and began to share their faith. Churches were planted. After a period of slow growth and some persecution these congregations have blossomed and multiplied across the whole country. Most followers of Christ in Nepal are first generation believers and are eager for instruction in their new faith. There is a great need of high quality resources for pastors to help them nurture their people.

The Resource

The most important questions anyone can ask are: Why was Jesus Christ crucified? Why did he suffer so much? What has this to do with me? Finally, who sent him to his death? The answer to the last question is that God did. Jesus was God's Son. The suffering was unsurpassed, but the whole message of the Bible leads to this answer.

The central issue of Jesus' death is not the cause, but the meaning. That is what this book is about. John Piper has gathered from the New Testament fifty reasons in answer to the most important question that each of us must face: What did God achieve for sinners like us in sending his Son to die?
