What makes for good preaching?

In this accessible volume—written for preachers and preachers in training—pastor David Helm outlines what must be believed and accomplished to become a faithful expositor of God’s Word. In addition to offering practical, step-by-step guidance for preachers, this short book will equip all of us to recognize good preaching when we hear it.

Situation

French is currently the second-most widespread language worldwide after English; it is the official language of nearly 29 countries ranging from France, Africa, and parts of Asia. According to projected demographic approximately 650 million will be considered French-speakers by 2050 with nearly 500 million today.

French has a long-standing history as a global language, steeped in commerce, political affairs, literature and advancing scientific standards. Many dialects of French has changed the language over the years in the particular country where the languages is being spoken, but overall most French speakers can read and write in the typical French language. BusinessWeek recently named French one of the top three languages most useful for global business interactions, behind English and Chinese. And Forbes names French as the language of the future.

French is also highly coveted language of knowledge in terms of diplomatic relations. The reach of the French language will only continue to grow as the world interacts on a more global stage.
