The Problem

Over 75% of the world’s Christians now live in the Global South. Missiologists predict another 118 million people in the majority world will become Christians in the next decade. These believers will need equipped pastors and elders. Currently, 85% of the world’s evangelical churches are led by pastors with insufficient training. There are millions of pastors in the world who don’t have access to adequate theological education or resources.

Worldwide over 300 million speak French. 48% of those French speakers live in Africa and the Middle East.

During the 20th century, France laid claim to much of West Africa, colonized the people groups, and taught French as a major social language. French is still taught in most schools of western Africa. The influx of Islamic rule and practices has led to opposition towards Christianity and the church. The major growth of French-speaking Christians is being seen in Africa, and these men and women have a heart for all parts of the French-speaking world. Many pastors and leaders are pleading for literature and media resources to be better equipped and trained to lead their churches and ministries.

How Your Support Helps

Your support allows us to partner with publishers all over the globe to create, translate, and print resources based on the expressed needs of indigenous pastors and leaders. We then work with missions organizations, churches, and nonprofit ministries to get these resources distributed. The result is pastors and leaders who are better equipped to lead and grow the churches and believers that they shepherd.

Why This Resource?

Every week, many churches around the world read the Bible but miss the main point—and end up teaching a deficient or outright false gospel each and every week. How does the church guard against false gospels? One of the most important safeguards against this danger is an understanding of biblical theology―reading the Bible in a way that takes into account the whole storyline of redemptive history, culminating in Jesus Christ.

This book Biblical Theology: How the Church Faithfully Teaches the Gospel starts by helping readers develop a framework for understanding the full storyline of the Bible and then explains basic principles for prioritizing the teaching of this message. The primary aim of this book is to help churches correctly apply and guard the truth of the gospel.

Our Partners

Along with you, the attendees of Bethlehem’s Conference for Pastors + Church Leaders, we are partnering with our friends at Crossway Publishers, Bethlehem College and Seminary, and 9Marks to translate and publish this much needed resource.
