In this breakout session from TGC’s 2018 West Coast Conference, Steve Chang, Joey Chen, Mark Lee helped show us how the church can continue to grow in reaching Asian Americans.
Asian Americans continue to be one of the fastest-growing groups in the U.S. and the church must learn how to disciple and reach them with the Gospel. The issues are more complicated than merely race since ministry to Asian Americans includes generational, socio-economic, and other cultural factors. Even to categorize all Asians into one group like Chinese people and Korean people is an oversimplification. Churches that are attempting to reach Asian Americans include immigrant churches, second generation church plants, and majority-culture churches being more intentional to include Asian Americans.
