“Because Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood. Therefore, he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them. Such a high priest truly meets our need—one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens.” Heb. 7:24-26

Lord Jesus, hallelujah… you do live forever. You are no fable, myth, dusty memory, or dead savior. You did live for us. You did die for us. You now forever live on our behalf. Hallelujah… the implications are countless, endless, and most glorious.

Because you live forever… your banner over us is love, your desire for us is constant, and your delight in us is unwavering. Make this more real to us than anything else. We are citizens of heaven and Abba’s beloved children—fully forgiven and totally robed in your righteousness.

Because you live forever, Jesus… your prayers for us are perfect, your presence with us is constant, and your return for us is certain. The things that vex, grieve, anger, and sadden us all have expiration dates.

Because you live forever…  you will finish making all things new, the earth will be filled with God’s glory, and your every-nation Bride will enjoy eternal life to the fullest, gladdest, and

Jesus, because you live forever, death doesn’t, but we do. If we draw our last breath today, we will begin our first sinless day in heaven. So Very Amen.
