“I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands...” Rev. 7:9

Lord Jesus, more than ever, we crave the fulfillment of this vision you gave the aging Apostle John. It’s not a “might-be” possibility, but a will-be certainty. Finally, fully, and forever—your impossible-to-count, every-nation Bride will love you, and each other, the way you love us.

All racism, prejudice and tribalism will be eradicated. We won’t be “color-blind” to each other’s skin tones. We will see with new eyes and love with perfected hearts. The only supremacy we will celebrate is Christ-supremacy.

No more wars, or even temper tantrums. No more harm or harming, in any form. Preening and rioting before iPhones will be replaced with dancing and rejoicing before you. Political parties won’t exist, just one big, eternal Gospel-party.

The United Nations won’t be a building, but a reality. Every evidence of evil, sin, and death will be gone. All things broken will be replaced with all things new (Rev. 21:1-22:6). The memory of Eden will be superseded by the grace-grandeur of the new earth. Soon, Lord Jesus, please?

Until that Day, bring the power of the Gospel to bear in extraordinary ways. Grant us grief and repentance for the ways we love so poorly. Fill us again and again and again with the riches of the Gospel and the power of the Holy Spirit. So very Amen, we pray, with conviction and hope, in your grace-full name.
