Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.” Luke 18:27
Lord Jesus, thank you for another Saturday to rest in your love, boast in your cross, and grow in your grace. You alone are worthy of our worship, love, and trust—the posture of humility essential for me to take this promise seriously.
What is impossible for me, but possible by, with, through you? Jesus, here’s a few things on my mind, and in my heart.
I want to pray without ceasing, forgive without resenting, and live without comparing.
I want a photographic memory of the Gospel, and memory-failure of wrongs done against me.
I want to be non-defensive and humble when confronted; and quicker than ever to repent, repair, and rejoice in the wonders of grace.
I want to listen to others, not just hear their words—listening with a curious heart, not a critical spirit.
I want to know you better than I ever have, Lord Jesus, and enjoy deeper intimacy and fellowship with you. Thank you for your commitment to make the impossible possible for those you love. So very Amen, and Hallelujah.
