“Fear not; you will no longer live in shame. Don’t be afraid; there is no more disgrace for you.”  Isa. 54:4 (NLT)

Heavenly Father, it just seems too good to be true, too lofty to be ours, too outside the box we call life. No more is shame our prison, home, or name. There’s no more disgrace, faux-grace, non-grace, anti-grace for us. There’s just grace.

We have no reason to hide, no need to fear; no cause to blame ourselves, or anyone. The weight of our guilt is lifted; the power of our shame is broken; the doubts in our heart are groundless.

When you see us, you see the perfection of Jesus—for you have hidden our lives in his, made his righteousness ours, and sealed us with your Spirit. Your grace has more than replaced our disgrace. You have raised us to newness of life—giving us a new heart, new name, heavenly Home, and sure future.

Though the devil accuses us, others deride us, and our own thoughts indict us, you declare us to be yours—known, loved, desired, and enjoyed. We believe it, and would believe it more. So very Amen we pray, in Jesus’ bodacious and beautiful name.
