If you have a heart for orphans, you should think about attending the Christian Alliance for Orphans’ national Summit VI, April 29-30, 2010, in Minneapolis. It’s “designed to help Christians create and grow orphan ministry in the local church—from adoption and foster care to overseas orphan care.”
Featured speakers include John Piper, Mary Beth Chapman, Albert Mohler, Tom Davis, Doug Sauder, and Jedd Medefind. There will also be speakers from Africa, Eastern Europe, and Central America.
Steven Curtis Chapman will be involved in leading the music.
There will also be 50 practical workshops on issues related to orphan ministry—”from supporting families with post adoption challenges, to effective models for church foster care programs, to partnerships with indigenous churches for overseas orphan care.”
