Editors’ note: For the month of May, all giving to The Gospel Coalition and Coalición por el Evangelio will be matched by generous partners up to $50,000, including the first month of new monthly supporters.

Last month, around 8,500 Christian brothers and sisters gathered in Indianapolis to celebrate and reflect on the recovery of the gospel in the Reformation. You can find free media of the plenaries on Galatians, as well as dozens of workshops. We praise God that the gospel of grace that inspired Luther and Calvin continues to multiply all around the world.

The contemporary moment has some similarities to the Reformation era. The world is marked by global political instability, a resurgent Islam (some of it militant), and rapid advances in media and technology. Today’s church is characterized by a mixture of biblical illiteracy, moral compromise, occasional persecution, and, as always, faithful servants who relish singing with Martin Luther:

The body they may kill:
God’s truth abideth still,
His kingdom is forever.

The Gospel Coalition seeks to renew the contemporary church in the ancient gospel of Jesus Christ. We provide a hub of free, gospel-centered resources, reflecting the Reformed heritage, for the global church. Your partnership and prayers are vital.

Would you prayerfully consider financially partnering with us in the glorious task of boasting in nothing but the cross of Christ (Gal. 6:14)?Give Now

For the month of May, generous partners have agreed to match all giving to The Gospel Coalition and to our sister ministry serving the Spanish-speaking world, Coalición por el Evangelio.

If you are able to become a monthly supporter—giving $25, $50, $100, or even $250 per month—we will send you a resource of your choice, either The New City Catechism Devotional (ed. Collin Hansen) or Glory in the Ordinary (Courtney Reissig).

You are a key part of The Gospel Coalition’s work. We are sincerely humbled by your help in fulfilling our mission in 2017. Before the end of May, would you consider joining us in promoting gospel-centered ministry for the next generation?

Is there enough evidence for us to believe the Gospels?

In an age of faith deconstruction and skepticism about the Bible’s authority, it’s common to hear claims that the Gospels are unreliable propaganda. And if the Gospels are shown to be historically unreliable, the whole foundation of Christianity begins to crumble.
But the Gospels are historically reliable. And the evidence for this is vast.
