Word-Filled Women’s Ministry: Loving and Serving the Church (Crossway) casts a vision for ministry among women that is grounded in God’s Word, grows in the context of God’s people, and aims for the glory of God’s Son.
Women’s ministry is not just a women’s issue; it’s a whole-church issue, and particularly a church leadership issue. We’re praying that the Lord will raise up more and more godly women teachers and leaders—Christ-exalting, gospel-centered, and Word-filled—who will be effectively deployed and supported by church leaders.
Using this new book as a starting point for discussion and instruction, The Gospel Coalition is working with our friends at Crossway to plan regional training programs for women, aiming to encourage and support the growth of pastor-led, Word-based women’s ministry in local churches. Pastors will be our prime point of contact and support for this women’s leadership training that will include (1) a biblical approach to women’s ministry and discipleship, and (2) biblical exposition, focusing on one biblical book per workshop.
We are praying God will bless his people as women and pastors increasingly partner together in fruitful gospel ministry in the local church, and as well-trained women pass on that training to others.
