Nancy Guthrie is a Bible teacher, author, and host of the Help Me Teach the Bible podcast. Don Carson is president of The Gospel Coalition and research professor of New Testament at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Mindy Belz is the editor of WORLD magazine and author of a book on Iraq’s Christians titled They Say We Are InfidelsK. A. Ellis is a PhD candidate at Oxford Center for Mission Studies in Oxford, England, who focuses her work on the persecuted church. Nastaran Farahani was born in Iran and became a Christian when she was 16 years old. She and her husband work in church planting among Farsi speakers.

Is there enough evidence for us to believe the Gospels?

In an age of faith deconstruction and skepticism about the Bible’s authority, it’s common to hear claims that the Gospels are unreliable propaganda. And if the Gospels are shown to be historically unreliable, the whole foundation of Christianity begins to crumble.
But the Gospels are historically reliable. And the evidence for this is vast.
