John Neufeld has been Senior Pastor of Willingdon Church in Burnaby, British Columbia, where he has served since 1999. Willingdon is an international church of over 4000 in attendance on weekend services. As Dr. Neufeld preaches, his sermons are simultaneously translated into seven different languages to reach an ethnically and culturally diverse congregation. Willingdon also sees weekly conversions in a location (Greater Vancouver) that has a church attendance rate much like that of many European cities. Dr. Neufeld is a graduate of Columbia Bible College (Biblical Studies), the University of Saskatchewan (B.A.), Fuller Theological Seminary (M.Div.) and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (D.Min.). He has been in pastoral ministry since 1976, serving in churches in Saskatchewan, California and British Columbia, both as a church planter and senior pastor. John has taught at sessionally at Columbia Bible College for some 12 years, as well as serving there full time for 2 1/2 years. His areas of teaching included, “Christianity and Contemporary Thought” and “Preaching”. He has also taught at Immanuel Christian University in Oradea, Romania. He has spoken at numerous churches and seminars throughout North America. Recently, he has begun an Organization called “Refocus Canada”. Refocus Canada seeks to ignite a resurgent, vibrant and theologically rooted network for like minded Pastors in Western Canada, who are dedicated to the glory of God and the growth of Christ’s kingdom.
