||IF . . .
||THEN . . .
||we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness
||we lie and do not practice the truth
||we walk in the light, as he is in the light
||we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin
||we say we have no sin
||we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us
||we confess our sins,
||he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness
||we say we have not sinned
||we make him a liar, and his word is not in us
||anyone does sin
||we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous
||we keep his commandments
||by this we know that we have come to know him
||anyone loves the world
||the love of the Father is not in him
||they had been of us
||they would have continued with us
||what you heard from the beginning abides in you
||you too will abide in the Son and in the Father
||you know that he is righteous
||you may be sure that everyone who practices righteousness has been born of him.
||anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him
||how does God’s love abide in him?
||our heart does not condemn us
||we have confidence before God
||God so loved us
||we also ought to love one another
||if we love one another
||God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.
||anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother
||he is a liar
||If we receive the testimony of men
||the testimony of God is greater
||if we ask anything according to his will
||he hears us
||if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask
||we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.
||If anyone sees his brother committing a sin not leading to death
||he shall ask, and God will give him life
