Good commentaries on Galatians are (relatively) hard to find—but thankfully commentaries are in the works by Doug Moo, Tom Schreiner, Don Carson, and others.

Schreiner’s Galatians commentary—in the Zondervan Exegetical Commentary on the New Testament—is now available for pre-order.

Not unrelated, this week I’ll be blogging excerpts of Schreiner’s 40 Questions book, answering questions on Christians and the law. (You can find the table of contents and some blurbs here.) I’ve found especially insightful on seeing the nature of the redemptive-historical shift that takes place with the coming and work of Christ. (For an example of this, look in the Galatians commentary and the 40 Questions book on how Schreiner deals with how Paul uses Leviticus 18:5 in Galatians.)
